Ultrasound

Ultrasound allows the doctors at Countryside Veterinary Clinic
a different way of looking at our patients than with x-ray or endoscopy.
A highly defined image of any and all internal organs can be observed
without the need of anesthesia or sedation using ultrasound. The
three dimensional image obtained is also a way of looking inside
an organ to aid in the diagnosis of problems or disease.

Examination of the heart, also known as an echo of the heart,
gives extremely detailed information so that our doctors can
pinpoint the best way to treat and monitor heart disease.

Many internal organs can now be biopsied using ultrasound as a guide. These "needle biopsies" can often replace the need for surgical biopsies and your pet can be back at home the same day without any stitches or pain.

A major focus of our continuing education is currently focused on ultrasound. By continually improving our skills and knowledge our doctors and staff can provide the best care available to our patients.
